MANCHESTER, UK – On Sunday, 17th August, the vibrant colours of red saris, the rhythmic beats of traditional music, and the aroma of authentic cuisine filled the Birch Community Centre as the Manchester Nepali Samaj (MNS) celebrated the auspicious Teej Festival 2082 with great fervour and joy.
The event, a cornerstone of the Nepali cultural calendar, was a magnificent showcase of heritage, community spirit, and female empowerment, bringing together generations of the Nepali diaspora in the heart of Manchester.
The community centre was transformed into a hub of Nepali culture. The highlight of the afternoon was the dazzling array of performances. Nepali ladies, resplendent in their beautiful red and green saris, performed graceful and energetic traditional dances that captivated the audience. The celebrations were a testament to the festival’s core themes of marital bliss, family well-being, and the strength of womanhood.
The talent on display was not limited to the Children.Adult members of the community took to the stage with equal confidence, performing spirited cultural dances and reciting heartfelt poems in Nepali.
