The day began at 10:00 AM in Chorlton Park, where community members from across Manchester gathered for a series of uplifting yoga sessions.

We were honoured to have Mr. Daya Gautam, a dedicated member of our own community, lead one of the sessions. His dynamic and heartfelt guidance lit up the morning and was a crowd favourite, energising participants and setting a positive tone for the rest of the day.

After the main group sessions, attendees took part in individual and group yoga practices, exploring various approaches to physical and mental well-being.

In the afternoon, members of Manchester Nepali Samaj proudly joined the procession from Chorlton Park to the Gita Bhawan Mandir, walking together with representatives from diverse backgrounds. The colourful procession symbolised shared values of peace, health, and spiritual connection.

We extend our warm thanks to GIEO Gita for organising the Manchester Gita Festival and creating a space where cultures could unite through the universal language of yoga. And a heartfelt thank you to all our community members who took part and made the day truly special.

Let’s carry this positive energy forward and continue to build stronger bonds through wellness and cultural celebration.
