A major focus of the AGM was shaping the roadmap for the coming years, including discussions on strengthening the organisational structure, enhancing community programmes, and improving engagement across Manchester.

One of the key agenda items was the plan to register Manchester Nepali Samaj as an official charity. Members discussed the steps required, the benefits of becoming a registered charity, and the responsibilities that come with it. This initiative represents a significant milestone in strengthening the organisation’s long‑term structure and community impact.

The continuation and expansion of Nepali language classes were also highlighted as a main agenda item. Members discussed ways to improve the current classes and explored new formats to support both children and adults in learning and preserving the Nepali language.

Community Feedback and Suggestions

Participants actively shared ideas and suggestions across various areas, including events, youth engagement, cultural activities, and community support. Their feedback will play an important role in guiding future decisions and initiatives.

Support for a Community Member

During the meeting, funds collected to support a Nepali individual currently facing a difficult situation in Manchester were formally handed over. This gesture reflected the community’s unity and compassion.

The AGM concluded with the Chairperson thanking all participants for their attendance, valuable suggestions, and continued support. Their contributions and feedback were acknowledged as essential to the Samaj’s ongoing progress and future plans.

Manchester Nepali Samaj extends sincere thanks to all participants for their ongoing support and active involvement, which continue to strengthen the community and drive the organisation forward.
