Manchester Nepali Samaj Outreach Program Inspires Youth
Manchester, April 21, 2024 – The Manchester Nepali Samaj, in collaboration with Manchester University students, conducted a highly impactful outreach program featuring the inspirational Chintamani Guru on Sunday. The event brought together students and community members to share experiences, offer advice, and engage in meaningful dialogue.
A Day of Sharing and Learning
The event saw enthusiastic participation from Manchester University students who shared their personal experiences and provided valuable advice to the younger generation. Their stories highlighted the importance of education, perseverance, and staying connected to one’s cultural roots.
Chintamani Guru, renowned for his motivational speeches and community work, delivered a powerful address that captivated the audience. His speech focused on the significance of self-belief, cultural pride, and the role of youth in building a strong and vibrant community. He also spoke about the art of living and how to carry on Nepali culture and tradition while living abroad. Chintamani emphasized the importance of embracing one’s heritage, participating in cultural practices, and passing on traditions to future generations, even when residing far from home.
Dr. Anne Shrestha, in collaboration with students from the University of Manchester, also initiated a talk program focused on future study and selection of subjects and universities. This initiative provided valuable guidance and insights to students and parents, ensuring they are well-prepared for their academic journeys. The program was met with a very positive response and saw participation from more than 50 children and parents.
